The size of the bed will also determine the price and the versatility. A twin mattress is 38″x75″. For the adult you will need a Twin XL (38″x80″). The Full mattress runs 54″x75″. The most usable size is probably a Queen (60″x80″), which stores convienently but can fit a couple. A Regular King (76″x80″) or California King (72″x84″) are roomy but the sheets and bedding will cost much more than your other options.
The complex world of choices have added a whole new dimension to the air mattress. Now you can find airbeds with goose down covers for the ultimate luxury. There are remote controls on airbeds so that you can control the exact firmness of your mattress. Memory foam adds a layer of insulation and support to cushion your body. All of these options for comfort come with a price tag. You can spend anywhere from $70-200 on the perfect bed.
The next time your mother-in-law comes to town and complains because you won’t give up your bed, think of your options and what it’s worth to have a thankful wife. You might decide that the price tag on a deluxe bed is worth its weight in gold.
